Where Were You in 2013?
That’s the last time our homes in The Woodlands received a fresh coat of paint! A lot has changed since then, but one thing is certain: it’s time for an update. We’re excited to announce that plans are underway for a community-wide exterior repainting project, which we’re calling The BIG PAINT
Before the brushes come out, there are a few important steps we need to take as a community. First, the transition back to city water must be completed. This change will help prevent the rust and staining issues many of us have struggled with over the years. Once that’s in place, the next step is for each homeowner to prepare their property for repairs, cleaning, and maintenance that need to be done so that every home is in “paint-ready” condition.
The great news? Painting technology has come a long way since 2013! This time around, we’ll be able to preview color options digitally on images of the homes, making it much easier to envision how the final look will come together. We’ll be holding community meetings to share details, timelines, and visual examples so everyone feels informed and involved.
In the meantime, we encourage all residents to start preparing. Take a walk around your property. Do you see wood rot? Peeling areas? Fencing or trim that needs TLC? The smoother the prep, the smoother the paint.
For inspiration, take a look at our sister community, Wildwood, or visit The Brooks across from the Golf Club; both have recently completed their painting projects and look fantastic.
A fresh coat of paint not only boosts curb appeal—it also increases home value and revitalizes the entire neighborhood. Let’s get ready to make The Woodlands shine again!
